Online Vajrasattva Purification: Teaching and Practice
December 30, 2020 - January 1, 2021
What is it:
The path to enlightenment is a gradual, proven process whereby one’s mind is transformed to abide in never-ending contentment. In Tibetan Buddhism, this is called wisdom – a deep knowing of reality, as it is, through direct perception. Most of us operate from profound ignorance, a solid mis-knowing. This ignorance – that happiness and unhappiness come from somewhere “out there” – blocks us from seeing our clear light mind.
The Vajrasattva practice purifies our mind from grasping so strongly onto the mistaken view. Utilizing time-tested visualization and meditation, deluded states – pain, sorrow, hatred, pride, jealousy, doubt – lose their power. Our mind is purified. We then have the opportunity to realize that we ourselves have the power to transform our world into an enlightened paradise.
2020 has been an unusually turbulent, difficult year, and many of us have experienced strong emotional responses to situations around us. This special online Vajrasattva retreat is a wonderful opportunity to remove any obscurations, anguish, and negative karma that we may have accumulated this year. The experience of Vajrasattva purification practice leaves us feeling light, cleansed, and vibrant and helps us to start the new year with a calm, compassionate mind.
The retreat will be presented via Zoom, and the zoom link will be shared via email upon registration.
Who is it for:
This program is for any practitioner seeking tools to initially diminish and eventually eliminate the barrage of unpleasant thoughts, feelings, emotions and stories that we cycle through over and over and over again. These are the stories that keep us trapped in an unhappy state.
After registration, call in information will automatically be sent to you.
