What kind of food is served and how is it delivered? What if I have a special food requirement?
Menu and Delivery
Vajrapani serves delicious food based on a balanced vegetarian diet which is mostly gluten and dairy free. Our kitchen lovingly prepares a hot lunch and a soup & salad dinner, which is delivered to you once daily in an insulated meal bag. For breakfast, you will find an abundant container of wheat-free (does contain oats) granola in your cabin. In addition, the nearby communal refrigerator is kept stocked with staples such as soy, rice and cow’s milk; wheat & gluten free bread; cheese; nut butters; jams; and fruits. Your cabin will also be stocked with a variety of teas.

Special Food Needs
If you have a life-threatening food restriction, please call our office at least one week before your arrival to communicate your needs. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet your specific needs. However, we can often accommodate gluten free and dairy free diets. Contact our kitchen to find out: kitchen@vajrapani.org
Cooking is not permitted in the cabins, they are outfitted for heating soup and water only. However, you can supplement your meals to meet your dietary preferences by bringing your favorite snacks. There is a small amount of space in the communal refrigerator for perishable snacks. When bringing these, please be sure to clearly label them with your name to avoid confusion. Please keep non-refrigerated snacks in tightly sealed containers to prevent insects from entering the cabins.
