Long Life Song for Kyabje Thubten Zopa Rinpoche
Down from the border of the Land of Snows,
Wearing a monk’s stainless vows,
Kyabje Thubten Zopa Rinpoche,
Teaching that effect follows cause.
Your face is sweet to look upon,
Your smile frees us from fear,
And so as Your fortunate children we
Raise this prayer to Your ear.
O Lama please live long,
Please live long.
Sing to us children Your Dharma song
And please live long.
You tirelessly work for the welfare of all,
You teach the Bodhisattva’s path,
By Your charity, patience, Your wisdom and more,
You show us perfection itself.
Your laughter rings throughout the realms,
Your voice is music to hear,
And so as Your fortunate children we
Raise this prayer to Your ear.
O Lama please live long,
Please live long.
Sing to us children Your Dharma song,
And please live long.
And then the ocean of Tantra to cross,
We seek you our perfect guide,
Your lotus feet have walked every step
Along Lord Buddha’s way.
Your mind is incomprehensibly wise,
And yet Your kindness is clear,
And so as Your fortunate children we
Raise this prayer to Your ear.
O Lama please live long,
Please live long.
Sing to us children Your Dharma song,
And please live long.
O Lama please live long,
Please live long.
Sing to us children Your Dharma song,
And please live long.
This prayer for the long life of Kyabje Thubten Zopa Rinpoche and all our
