Dormitory

Our beautiful new dormitory was
completed in the Summer of 2006 and features two main dorm rooms
(with 6 bunks and 7 bunks respectively); four ground floor
private rooms (each with 1 double bed); two quad rooms (with 2
sets of bunk beds).
The main dorm rooms have been
designed with coziness in mind, with the space broken up into a
series of ‘cubbies’. In all, the new dorm can house 42
people, (or 38 if the private rooms are used for single
occupancy.) There are 2 bathrooms, complete with showers. Those
of you who stayed in the previous dorm building will be
delighted to learn that our new dorm also boasts the luxury of
flush toilets!
We are ever so grateful to Jim
Westbrook for putting his architectural background to use and
designing this very beautiful and utilitarian building. We are
also grateful to Tom Waggoner who was head contractor on this
project.
The new dormitory will provide
a comfortable place for guests to stay while engaging in Dharma
practice. May all those who stay in it advance rapidly on their
spiritual journeys.
